If this has already been posted please let me know and I’ll delete. I couldn’t find anything up already...

Saw this for sale:

How many people do you reckon would make a donation via gofundme or the likes to buy this and donate it to public?

This is 305 hectares of bush right on the escarpment next to Katoomba. Enormous natural and cultural value, it overlooks narrow neck and the megalong valley. I note even the agent hopes it's given to national parks.

Also just seen its under offer :(
hope not for possible sub division.. (would require rezoning)

BAL FZ sight... meaning to build will be $,$$$,$$$ and permission will mean not on the edge of the cliff... for fire resistance for 30 minutes, shutters on windows and doors are no longer acceptable the windows and door must be fire resistance for 30 minutes by themselves... And it will require a water tank (not plastic) for the fires to use ...
If someone buys it and does not do the investigating before buying they will be reselling due to costs of building.

It could be bought and toilets/showers erected on it for camping... but it won't be cheap to build even that.

Blue Mountains' Radiata Plateau bought by NSW government and will be incorporated into National Park.

Excellent news! Have to say I’m surprised the nsw govt did something positive for the environment.

Great work by all the groups and conservationists involved in campaigning for this outcome over many years!
