Feb 2019 - Walking Buddies

Postby alexc2005 » Fri 24 Aug, 2018 9:36 am

Hi

As you can tell, I have pretty much just signed up to make this post as I stumbled upon this site while researching the overland track.

I have booked some flights to Launceston/Hobart, and am keen to give this a crack.

Just wondering if anyone else is going at that time of year, I'm aiming for very early Feb at this point.

30yr old Male, fit/active, relatively easy going.

Thanks

Alex

Keen. I've already done the overland 8 times including winter so heaps of experience. Based in Sydney though. When were you thinking as we'd need to book departure dates soon if still available.

Yes all of January and February ( except last 2 days ) has been booked for a while. However I kept checking and last friday ( 4th Jan ) a few spots appeared obviously from some walkers cancelling. So I'm booked on the 16th of Feb if anyone is interested for company. I've walked it 6 times over many years. I have a car which is sometimes parked at Launnie airport so can drive there( I've got a house in NW Tas) but I will need to arrange transport back to the start of the walk. May get my wife to help out.
