Hi all,
I'm planning a trip down to the prom in the coming weeks to hike the Grand Circuit, hopefully, the 2nd or 3rd week of June. Some resources call this the southern circuit, others have the southern circuit cut out the Oberon bay section of the loop, I mean to do the entire loop.
I wanted people's opinion on the best route for a 3-day trip. I really want to make it down to South Point as well as complete the whole loop.
My current plan is
Day 1: Tidal river to Refuge Cove 20kms
Day 2: Refuge cove to Roaring Meg 24.2kms
Day 3: Roaring Meg to Tidal river 15.6km + 7.6km return track for South Point
Depending on how fast I walk on day 2, I might set up camp and then head to south point that afternoon
Does this seem reasonable? I'm pretty fit so kms shouldn't be an issue, just potentially time with the shorter days.
Let me know what you think
