Spot on Zapruda. On the way up the Sentinel trying to bypass that unnerving rock slab, which I eventually did.

I hate that slab. It seems so innocent.

Still in NSW...

Clue - This was taken at the headwaters of a well known high country river

Pointless Cairn Rocks? Only problem, I not sure which ones. Possibly the ones above the Thredbo Resort lookng across to the Rams head Range.

These ones might be pointless but there are quite a few historic cairns that were placed in the area by stockmen and miners that shouldnt be disturbed.

Further north than the Main Range.

Could be technically just on the northern extremity of the main range - Munyang River looking across to Gungartan et al?

Very generous Stef, I was looking in the wrong direction. Must visit that area.

NSW. An offbeat one from my archives, and hopefully easy. It didn't look like this on a more recent visit:

Gavells Hut? I always get an unsettling feeling there for some reason and I’m not normally that kind of person.

It is Gavells Zapruda. I felt at home when I visited but it's interesting how these huts give off their own vide.

Thanks Crolly. I’d rather be there than my office chair in any case.

Ok. Much to my displeasure I’m bucking the trend and getting us out of the high country. Still in NSW - where am I standing?

I knew you would be onto it Tyreless. Mackerel Beach heading to the Basin. Except for the slog up from the Basin, maybe the best loop in the Kuringai.

Hint: you can walk across this bay at low tide but you have to be careful you don't step on anything.
