Correct, on a short trail across the road from Pu'u'ula'ula (summit) 10,023ft (3055m) asl.

Thanks JM, I haven't been there but looks quite interesting.

I'm currently visiting northern USA. Hope this isn't too obscure, where was this viewpoint a couple of days ago?

That's it, just south of Anchorage. This spot on it is Beluga Point.
Known for spotting them but we didn't see any. Alaska Railroad in front of me.
