Tarkine Coastal Walk in Winter

Postby weetbix456 » Tue 09 Jul, 2019 10:54 am

Hey!

Wondering if anyone has done the walk from Temma south to the Pieman River mouth in winter before? Inquiring specifically about the major river crossings and how their regular flow levels are at that time of year. I imagine the Interview, Lagoon, Italian, North Pedder & Thorton rivers could all halt progress after significant rain.

Thanks in advance. Happy for PM's if you'd prefer.

I've only done it in summer. I know someone who did a late spring trip and another group who did it late September, and both had massive issues with some river crossings.

Take a packraft.
