Current multi-night options out of Hobart

Postby iGBH » Tue 05 Mar, 2019 2:56 pm

A few months back i booked flights to Hobart with the intent of doing the Mt Anne circuit in mid March. With the fire situation this is off the cards, so am scrambling to find worthy alternatives. I have 5 full days available. One option would be Walls of Jerusalem - which I'm ok with having only done in winter (and therefore didnt really see much), but am open to alternatives. Is anyone able to suggest other options - open anything good, either a couple of single night walks or a 4 nighter.

Thanks

You could possibly head up Moonlight Ridge, and check out Mt La perouse and Pindars Peak. That'd be a fairly comfortable 3 day trip, even more comfortable over 4 days.
Freycinet circuit is another option. Much easier, but far more popular.

Some other well known options I would consider if I was in your boat are:
*Frenchmans Cap (and if you are comfortable off track over scrub bashing extending the walk out via the Irenabyss)
*walks from Lake St Clair exploring Labyrinth (and if you are comfortable off track the Du Cane range)
