TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

RESCUE ME PLB SUPPLIER

Postby Ellobuddha » Thu 11 Dec, 2014 8:14 pm

Hi,

Ages ago someone was onto a hot price on a rescue me. I had already bought mine.

I have a mate who wants one. I believe it may have been a certain Scarp lover from Tassie but cant be sure.

If anyone knows the supplier/price please let me know by post or PM.

Cheers,
Paul

It was a discount code from a certain sailing supplier - who actually happens to be a member here. Looks like they caught on once the orders started flooding in and it hasn't worked in quite a few months now.

I don't know what a PLB-1 battery is Nuts, but from personal experience I can certainly vouch for the outstanding service from KTI in Melbourne when I've had to have the battery replaced in my KTI SAG2 Personal Locator Beacon.

Thanks farefam, yes, I was trying to replace the batteries (Ocean SignalPLB-1) but may just make the switch now. The KTI SAG2 looks like a much better deal.
